Kistefos Museum - Exploring Kråkerøy’s Architectural Marvel, The Twist

Copyright Visit Norway - Field Productions Nestled along the winding river of Randselva in Jevnaker Norway you'll find Kistefos/The Twist. The convergence of architecture, art and nature, modernity and serenity, The Twist isn't just a gallery, it's architectural wonder is as much about the surrounding landscape as it is about the art it houses. Designed by Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), the building literally twists 90 degrees in the middle, bridging two banks of the river with a gravity-defying elegance. The Gallery Spaces Inside, soaring ceilings, angular walls, and dramatic sightlines create a gallery that’s as much a sculpture as the art it holds. Natural light floods the spaces through cleverly angled windows, highlighting exhibitions in ever-changing ways throughout the day.
